IBM Cloud Hyper Protect DBaaS for PostgreSQL is a LinuxONE-powered cloud database solution for enterprise workloads with sensitive data. Hyper Protect DBaaS for PostgreSQL currently contains PostgreSQL major version 10 and 13.
Leveraging LinuxONE pervasive encryption and IBM Secure Service Container technology, Hyper Protect DBaaS provides workload isolation, restricted administrator access and tamper protection for data at rest and in flight. You can maintain complete control over your data; not even the cloud administrator has access to it.
When you create a Hyper Protect DBaaS instance, you create a cluster consisting of one primary node and two secondary nodes (replicas that back up the primary), each installed in a unique Availability Zone with automatic daily backups in the local storage.
Hyper Protect DBaaS provides non-disruptive version upgrades, monitoring of the system by IBM SREs, and around-the-clock support from IBM Cloud. You can focus on building applications rather than managing availability, backups, logging, monitoring, scaling, hardware setup, and software patching.
Hyper Protect DBaaS provides standardized APIs to provision, manage, maintain, and monitor databases. It‘s easy for you to get started without the need for specialized database skills.
