Lite
  • The Lite plan offers a trial experience of the Enterprise plan with usage limits.
  • It includes a fixed supply of 2000 Resource Units (RU) to consume for free.
  • When you consume the free RUs, your instance will expire.
  • The Lite plan includes an IBM-managed Cloud Object Storage bucket for basic data storage.
  • You can optionally add your own S3-compatible bucket for persistent data storage even after the trial period ends.
  • The Lite plan also offers the option to provision the following starter size watsonx.data infrastructure components:
  • - Catalogs (for example, Iceberg and Hive)
  • - Query engines (for example, Presto and Milvus)
  • Free
Enterprise
  • The Enterprise plan is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) deployment model of watsonx.data on IBM Cloud.
  • In the Enterprise plan, the Resource Units (RU) are consumed continuously and scaled based on your choice of infrastructure components.
  • To learn more about estimating your resource consumption, click the “About tab” on the watsonx.data Catalog page.
  • The Enterprise plan includes an IBM-managed Cloud Object Storage bucket for basic data storage.
  • You can optionally add your own S3-compatible bucket for persistent data storage even after the trial period ends.
  • The Enterprise plan also offers the option to provision and scale your choice of the following watsonx.data infrastructure components:
  • - Catalogs (for example, Iceberg and Hive)
