End of Support for Red Hat OpenShift for VMware
As of 17 July 2025, new automated installations of Red Hat® OpenShift® for VMware® are no longer available for new or existing deployments of VMware Cloud Foundation for Classic - Automated instances. You can still use or delete your existing Red Hat OpenShift for VMware automated installations until 16 July 2026. The service will no longer be available from 17 July 2026.
IBM Cloud® is announcing the End of Support for automated installations of Red Hat OpenShift on VMware Cloud Foundation for Classic - Automated.
As of 17 July 2025, new customers cannot provision Red Hat OpenShift by using the automation enabled on VCF for Classic - Automated instances. However, customers can continue to install Red Hat OpenShift separately, on their own, for VCF for Classic - Automated.
Support for customers with existing instances continues until 16 July 2026. Existing customers can use or delete their Red Hat OpenShift for VMware installations until 16 July 2026. Starting on 17 July 2026, automated installations of Red Hat OpenShift for VMware on VCF for Classic - Automated will no longer be supported or available.
