JVector integration with Presto (Private preview): IBM® watsonx.data now integrates with JVector in Presto which enables Approximate Nearest Neighbor (ANN) Top‑K similarity searches on embedding data that is stored in Iceberg tables. For more information see, JVector integration with Presto.

Query Optimizer enhancement (Public preview)

This release of watsonx.data introduces the following access Query Optimizer enhancements:

You can now enable or disable the Materialized View (MV) feature for the Query Optimizer directly from the web console in watsonx.data. For more information, see Optimizing queries using Materialized View (MV) in Query optimizer.

This release includes the following new feature:

Gen AI-powered chat interface in watsonx.data (Public preview): You can now chat with a gen AI-powered chat interface, watsonx.data Assistant to ask questions about IBM® watsonx.data. The assistant answers your queries about watsonx.data based on its knowledge on IBM product documentation. It helps to explore and learn about the product in an easier and faster way.
