Why aren't Zerto VRAs displaying for newly created ESXi servers?

End of Marketing: As of 31 October 2025, new deployments of VMware Solutions offerings are no longer available for new customers. Existing customers can still use and expand their active VMware® workloads on IBM Cloud®. For more information, see End of Marketing for VMware on IBM Cloud.

Virtual Replication Appliances (VRAs) are not displayed on the Zerto Virtual Replication console after you add VMware ESXi™ servers to a VMware Cloud Foundation for Classic - Automated instance with HPE Zerto Software disaster recovery installed.

The HPE Zerto Software disaster recovery service is installed only on the ESXi server from the default cluster (cluster1 for instances that are deployed in V3.1 or earlier). If new clusters are created in the same vCenter Server environment or if ESXi servers are added to new clusters, HPE Zerto Software disaster recovery is not installed on them. On those clusters, you must install HPE Zerto Software disaster recovery separately.

Open an IBM Cloud® Support ticket and work with IBM Support to obtain available IP addresses for you to install the VRAs from the HPE Zerto Software console, instead of the IBM Cloud for VMware Solutions console.

To access the HPE Zerto Software console, click the Zerto card from the Services tab of the instance and click View details. Then, click View Zerto console.
