# Ordering Veeam licenses

You can order a Veeam license for the use of Veeam Agent and Veeam Backup and Replication software through the Veeam website or through the following process.

## Ordering Veeam stand-alone licenses from the IBM Cloud console
{: #ordering-veeam-license-procedure}

1. In the [IBM Cloud console](https://cloud.ibm.com/login){: external}, click the **Navigation menu** icon ![menu icon](../icons/icon_hamburger.svg) **> VMware > Licenses**.
1. On the **Licenses** page, scroll to the **Veeam licenses** section, and click **Create new**.
1. Complete the fields with the required information.
1. Apply your promo code if you have one.
1. Click the link of the terms that apply to your order. Order the license only if you agree with the terms.
1. Click **Create**.

After you create the license, the ordering process automatically starts. An email is sent confirming the order, and a license key is generated and emailed to whomever placed the order. If the order is incorrect, it can be deleted.
