# Managing Caveonix RiskForesight licenses

As of 17 July 2025, new automated installations of Red Hat&reg; OpenShift&reg; for VMware® are no longer available for new or existing deployments of VMware Cloud Foundation for Classic - Automated instances. You can still use or delete your existing Red Hat OpenShift for VMware automated installations until 16 July 2026. The service will no longer be available from 17 July 2026.

You can view, edit notes, or delete the Caveonix RiskForesight™ licenses that you ordered for stand-alone use.

## Procedure to view Caveonix RiskForesight licenses
{: #caveonix_license_managing_procedure-view}

1. In the VMware Solutions console, click **Resources > VCF for VPC** from the left navigation panel.
2. In the **Caveonix RiskForesight licenses** table, click a license to view its details.
3. Review the following license details:

   | Item | Description |
   |:-----|:------------|
   | Name | The name of the license. |
   | Creation time | The date and time when the license was created. |
   | Status | The status of the license: \n - **Modifying** - The license is being created. \n - **Installed** - The license is ready to use. \n - **Removing** - The license is being deleted. |

### Known issues about license date display
{: #caveonix_license_considerations-date}

If you are using Mozilla® Firefox® as your browser, the license start and end dates might be displayed with no values on the Caveonix RiskForesight console. To resolve the issue, view the license information in another browser, such as Google Chrome™.

If you are experiencing this problem and the only browser you can use is Firefox, contact [Caveonix Support](https://cavhq.ai/){: external} for assistance.

## Procedure to edit notes for Caveonix RiskForesight licenses

1. In the VMware Solutions console, click **Licensing and metering > Add-on services** from the left navigation panel.
2. In the **Caveonix RiskForesight licenses** table, click the license that you want to edit the notes for.
3. On the license details page, edit the license notes, and then click **Confirm**.

## Procedure to update Caveonix RiskForesight licenses
{: #managingcaveonix-updating-lic}

The Caveonix RiskForesight license is valid for five years. You can update the Caveonix RiskForesight license when it expires by using the following procedure:
1. Order a new Caveonix RiskForesight license and copy it to the Caveonix RiskForesight console. For more information, see [Procedure to order Caveonix RiskForesight licenses](https://cloud.ibm.com/docs/vmwaresolutions?topic=vmwaresolutions-caveonix_license_ordering&format=markdown#caveonix_license_ordering-procedure).
2. Delete the expired license from the **Caveonix RiskForesight licenses** table in the IBM Cloud for VMware Solutions console. For more information, see [Procedure to delete Caveonix RiskForesight licenses](https://cloud.ibm.com/docs/vmwaresolutions?topic=vmwaresolutions-caveonix_license_managing&format=markdown#caveonix_license_managing_procedure-delete).

## Procedure to delete Caveonix RiskForesight licenses
{: #caveonix_license_managing_procedure-delete}

Deleting the Caveonix RiskForesight service also deletes the initial Caveonix RiskForesight license that was originally associated with the service. However, you need to manually delete any other unwanted licenses from the **Caveonix RiskForesight licenses** table on the **Resources** page in the VMware Solutions console.

To delete the Caveonix RiskForesight service, you must do so in the IBM Cloud&reg; for VMware Solutions console. For more information, see [Deleting services from VCF for Classic - Automated instances](https://cloud.ibm.com/docs/vmwaresolutions?topic=vmwaresolutions-vc_deletingservices&format=markdown).

1. In the VMware Solutions console, click **Licensing and metering > Add-on services** from the left navigation panel.
2. In the **Caveonix RiskForesight licenses** table, find the license to delete.
3. In the **Actions** column, click the **Delete** icon ![Delete icon](../../icons/delete.svg "Delete").
4. In the **Delete license** window, click **OK**.
   The status of the license is changed to **Removing**. When the license deletion is completed, the license is no longer available in the **Caveonix RiskForesight licenses** table.
