# Step 2 - Virtual machine deployment
{: #caveonix-step2}

As of 17 July 2025, new automated installations of Red Hat® OpenShift® for VMware® are no longer available for new or existing deployments of VMware Cloud Foundation for Classic - Automated instances. You can still use or delete your existing Red Hat OpenShift for VMware automated installations until 16 July 2026. The service will no longer be available from 17 July 2026.
{: deprecated}

The IBM Cloud® for VMware Solutions automation requests an extra portable private IP subnet and the all-in-one virtual machine to be configured with an IP address from this subnet.

Therefore, the Caveonix RiskForesight™ components can complete the following operations:
* Connect to vCenter and NSX Manager through the BCR.
* Connect to Remote Collectors, either on VXLANs or hosted off-premise.
* Allow the client to manage the IP address space when you scale up.
