# Canceling subnets

If you no longer require a secondary subnet, follow these steps to cancel it:

1. From your browser, open the [IBM Cloud console](https://cloud.ibm.com/) and log in to your account.
1. Select the menu icon ![menu icon](../icons/icon_hamburger.svg), then click **Infrastructure > Classic Infrastructure**.
1. Select **Network > IP Management > Subnets**.
1. Locate the subnet you want to cancel, using subnet filters as necessary.
1. Click the overflow menu ![overflow menu](images/overflow.png) for the subnet and select **Cancel subnet**.
1. Select when the subnet should be canceled, acknowledge the cancellation terms, and click **Confirm**.
