Consuming managed professional services as a client
To start using managed professional services as a client, navigate to the IBM Cloud® catalog to discover and provision IBM Business Partner-managed offerings. After you select a service, complete the steps for provisioning an instance and confirm the engagement to help ensure a smooth activation of the service.
Managing resource provisioning
After the pricing is approved, you can publish the service and view it in the IBM Cloud catalog.
- In the IBM Cloud console, click Catalog > Professional services and search for the service that was created during onboarding.
- In the Create section, select a plan and complete the following steps to create an instance:
- Enter a name.
- Enter a contact number.
- Optionally, enter additional information.
- Click Create. You are directed to the instance page.
- In the instance page, the Engagement status section displays the request stated as Pending. An email notification is sent to the Business Partner for approval.

Requesting to complete the engagement
As a client, you can request to complete the engagement, which the Business Partner then reviews and approves. After the engagement is completed, you are responsible for deleting the resources from the instance.
