# Checking your host setup

Verify your host setup by running the `sat-host-check` script after meeting [system](https://cloud.ibm.com/docs/satellite?topic=satellite-host-reqs&format=markdown), [network](https://cloud.ibm.com/docs/satellite?topic=satellite-reqs-host-network&format=markdown), and [outbound](https://cloud.ibm.com/docs/satellite?topic=satellite-reqs-host-network-outbound&format=markdown) requirements.

There is currently a bug with the `sat-host-check` script that causes it to fail on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) due to a GLIBC requirement.

1. Log in to your host.
    ```sh
    ssh root@<IP_address>

    1. For RHEL hosts, use Secure Shell (SSH) to log in as root.
        ```sh

    1. For Red Hat CoreOS (RHCOS) hosts, copy your public SSH key into your ignition script and log in as core.
        1. Download the host attach script and add your public SSH key.

        1. Log in to your host as `core`.

1. Download the script and make it executable.

1. Run the script and specify the region where you created your location.

1. Review the test failure summary. Depending on the failure, review the requirements and update your hosts.
