March 2026
- Introduced newly certified SAP Business One profiles for bare metal servers on IBM Cloud VPC.
- Added certified flexible profiles for virtual servers on IBM Cloud VPC, enabling greater deployment versatility.
- 8-node SAP HANA scale-out is now certified and supported on Power Virtual Server profile sr2-35x3900, see sr2 - Certified profiles.
February 2026
- Updated the Getting help and support from IBM Cloud or SAP document based on the updated IBM Cloud Basic Support plan. These changes emphasize self‑service and AI‑driven support and reduce reliance on manual case handling for technical issues.
January 2026
- SAP HANA certified profiles for VMware SDDC and Intel Cascade Lake CPU with Intel Optane PMem are now included in SAP HANA certified instances on Intel-powered bare metal servers in Classic Infrastructure document.
- SAP NetWeaver application servers profiles for AMD Bare Metal Server and VMware in Classic are now included in SAP Application Server certified instances on Intel-powered bare metal servers in Classic Infrastructure document.
- New feature: A new IBM SAP HANA Backint agent is now available to back up SAP HANA databases running on Power Virtual Server to IBM Cloud® Object Storage. For more information, see Backup strategies for SAP HANA on IBM Power Virtual Server.

- New reference architecture: SAP NetWeaver 7.x with SAP ASE database on DR configuration
- New document: Configuring SAP HANA multiple-host system replication in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) High Availability (HA) Add-On cluster with the sap-hana-ha resource agent
- Updated the following documents for new IP-Overlay resource agent
powervs-move-ipin multi-zone HA scenarios including: - IBM Power9 SAP HANA certified profiles are now discouraged for new deployments. Users are advised to migrate to IBM Power10 SAP HANA certified profiles or later, selecting the appropriate profile based on memory and core requirements. For more information, see SAP HANA certified instances on Power Virtual Server.
- Added a list of IBM Power10 SAP HANA sr2 discouraging profiles with recommended alternative profiles for each configuration based on required cores and memory. Users are advised to update their profiles accordingly. For more information, see sr2 - Discouraging Profiles.
