Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) auf IBM Power für SAP HANA
SAP HANA profile für Power-Server arbeiten im SMT4- oder SMT8-Modus. Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) auf IBM Power ermöglicht die Ausführung mehrerer unabhängiger Threads innerhalb eines einzelnen physischen Prozessorkerns.
- Im SMT4-Modus können vier parallele Threads auf einem einzigen physischen Prozessorkern ausgeführt werden. Das Betriebssystem erkennt vier logische Prozessoren pro physischem Prozessorkern.
- Im SMT8-Modus können acht parallele Threads auf einem einzigen physischen Prozessorkern ausgeführt werden. Das Betriebssystem erkennt acht logische Prozessoren pro physischem Prozessorkern.

IBM Power Virtual Server s bieten vollständig anpassbare CPU-Kerne und Speicher (RAM in GiB ). Konfigurieren Sie eine virtuelle Serverinstanz, indem Sie eine benutzerdefinierte Größe für das IBM Power Virtual Server-Profil angeben. Befolgen Sie dabei die bewährten Verfahren von SAP HANA für IBM Power Systems und die Anleitung von SAP für nicht produktive SAP HANA-Instanzen.
Benutzerdefinierte Profile sind ausschließlich für nicht produktionsbezogene Entwicklungs- oder Testzwecke vorgesehen. Diese Profile sind nicht für SAP-Produktionsumgebungen vorgesehen, werden nicht unterstützt und sind nicht für diese zertifiziert. Sie können nicht für den Wechsel von einer Nicht-Produktionsumgebung zu einer Produktionsumgebung verwendet werden.
Jedes Profil erfordert mindestens zwei dedizierte Kerne. Informationen zu den Anforderungen an die Speicherleistung finden Sie in den Speicherrichtlinien für SAP HANA.
