Getting help and support

Before you open a support ticket against Power® Virtual Server, review the FAQ and Getting support.

PowerVS infrastructure cases

To open a support ticket for Power Virtual Server, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to the IBM Cloud with your IBM Cloud account credentials.
  2. In the menu bar, click Support.
  3. Under Contact Support, click Create a case.
  4. In the Create a case page, select Your resources.
  5. Search for your impacted Power Virtual Server resource, and click Next.
  6. Enter Power Virtual Server in the Subject field and a detailed description of the problem in the Description field.
  7. Attach any helpful files, decide whether you want email updates, and click Next.
  8. Review your support ticket summary, and click Submit case.

Opening Operating System (AIX or IBM i) related cases with IBM Support

If you are facing any AIX or IBM i operating system-specific issue, It is recommended that you directly engage with the operating system support using the portal as follows.

  1. Log in to the IBM Support portal using your IBM id.
  2. Click Open a case.
  3. On the Product field, enter AIX on Cloud or IBM i on Cloud.
  4. Complete all the other required information, and click Submit Case.
