Deleting DNS zones
In the DNS interface, you can delete primary zones and secondary zones. Carefully consider whether you want to delete your zone before taking action. Once deleted, the zone cannot be restored.
Deleting primary zones
To delete primary zones:
- From your browser, open the IBM Cloud console and log in to your account.
- Click the Menu icon
and select Infrastructure > Classic Infrastructure.
- Select Network > DNS.
- In the Primary zones table, locate the primary zone that you want to delete, then click Delete in the Actions menu

Deleting secondary zones
To delete secondary zones:
- From your browser, open the IBM Cloud console and log in to your account.
- Click the Menu icon
and select Infrastructure > Classic Infrastructure.
- Select Network > DNS.
- In the Secondary zones table, locate the secondary zone that you want to delete, then click Delete in the Actions menu
