# European Union support

IBM Cloud Object Storage has additional controls in place in the European Union (EU) to ensure access to your object storage resources is restricted and controlled by the IBM Cloud support team in the EU region. If you enable EU Supported setting for your IBM Cloud account, ensure that IBM Cloud Object Storage resources (buckets) are created in the EU region.
