# IBM Cloud Logs alert priorities

IBM® Cloud Logs provides 5 alert priorities that can be used when configuring alerts.

The priority values from highest priority to lowest priority are:

* `P1`
* `P2`
* `P3`
* `P4`
* `P5`

These values are used when [configuring alerts](https://cloud.ibm.com/docs/cloud-logs?topic=cloud-logs-multi-condition&format=markdown) and when displaying triggered alerts on the [*Incidents* page](https://cloud.ibm.com/docs/cloud-logs?topic=cloud-logs-incidents&format=markdown) to give you a visual indicator of how high or low a priority the alert is.

Priority values replace serverity values present in earlier IBM Cloud Logs releases.
