Accessing log fields

If fields are not specified in the request, a limited set of default fields are returned. Find the full list of all available fields using the following request.

ibmcloud cis logpush-available-fields DNS_DOMAIN_ID [--dataset DATASET] [-i, --instance INSTANCE]

Datasets

These available datasets describe the fields available by log category:

  • HTTP/ HTTPS requests (http_requests)
  • Firewall events (firewall_events)
  • Range events (range_events)
  • DNS logs (dns_logs)

Available Fields

The following tables indicate the fields available by dataset. Log fields are subject to change, so it is recommended to use the Available Log Fields API to pull the most up-to-date version of the available fields.

HTTP requests

This table contains the fields available for HTTP requests.

"Security rule" refers to one of these rule types: WAF managed rule, WAF custom rule, or WAF rate-limiting rule.

Deprecated fields

Log fields that are not shown in the Available Log Fields API are considered deprecated. Deprecated log fields do remain available to prevent breaking existing jobs. However, these log fields may eventually become empty values if completely removed by Cloudflare. Customers are encouraged to migrate away from deprecated fields if they are using them.
