# Site readiness

Determine whether to construct a new site or to modify an existing site. The electric power and communication facilities must be available in adequate quantities for operation. If these facilities are inadequate, contact the utility company to determine whether additional services can be made available.

Ensure that the IBM Storage Ceph as a Service racks are protected with restricted access that is consistent with your company data protection and physical access control policies.
