# Importing a custom image

You can create a bare metal server by using an imported image template. The new bare metal servers have the same configurations that are included in the imported custom image template.

Follow these steps to import a custom image.

1. Go to **Devices** > **Manage** > **Images** and click **Import custom image**.
2. Enter an image name and the IBM API key for the image that you want to import.
3. Click the name of the image that you want to import, accept the Third-Party Service Agreements, and click **Import custom image**.
