Creating bandwidth pools

Creating bandwidth pools

By using bandwidth pools, you can combine the individual bandwidth allocations of your separate devices into one large grouping. Bandwidth pools are useful to prevent overages and underutilized bandwidth when you have devices with variable month-to-month usage.

To create a bandwidth pool, follow these steps by using the UI:

  1. From your browser, open the IBM Cloud console and log in to your account.
  2. Select the Navigation menu Navigation menu, then click Classic Infrastructure.
  3. Select Network > Bandwidth > Pools.
  4. Click Create in the upper right of the bandwidth pools table.
  5. In the Create Bandwidth pool section, enter the following information:
    • In the Name field, enter a unique name for your bandwidth pool.
    • In the Region field, select the region for your bandwidth pool.
  6. Click Create.
  7. In the bandwidth pool table, click the name of your new bandwidth pool to view and edit its details.
