Before you begin
- To install this solution into the infrastructure on IBM Cloud you need a Power Edge Router (PER) enabled Data Center. That means the IBM Cloud region that you planned to use need to be PER enabled.
Here is the current (by 29th of February 2024) list of Data Centers where PER is enabled (a total of 10 DCs): ["dal10", "dal12", "wdc06", "wdc07", "mad02", "mad04", "eu-de-1", "eu-de-2", "sao01", "sao04"]
If you have your Power VS workspaces in the above list, they already make use of PER. If you deploy your PowerVS workspace in any other DCs which is not present in the above list, you have to raise a request to IBM support team to make use of PER in your region. - Refer to the Rocket(R) iCluster installation on Cloud to get the sizing information about the memory, CPU, and the machine type.
- Refer to the Rocket(R) iCluster installation on Cloud for deployment scenarios and setup instructions.
